Meet the crew

Hi,we are a family of 5 from the Netherlands and have been living the nomad life for 4,5 years full time. We traveled in our red fire truck caravaan (firetruck campervan with caravan and a firecar with firetrailer) trough Europe together with our cats and dogs and a moveable garden.
Our youngest was born in our belltent at the beginning of our traveling life.
Now the rollercoaster called Life took us on another journey in Portugal with a piece of land and a house. This certainly doesn’t mean we won’t be traveling again (actually very soon) but it will be traveling in a different form and sometimes back in it’s original form. It feels like our traveling is extended with more options to choose from. Being able to choose minimalistic and maximalistic.
Adventure in a different form is happening and as a dear sister once wrote: “once a nomad, always a nomad at heart”. We see life as one big journey, traveling from one experience to the other. We travel life.
With the land we have now it turns around in a funny way. Instead of us driving across earth, we are able to welcome world citizens to our place.
Making happy places is the goal. We love to contribute and share in many forms. From now on not only on wheels but also on this serene, special piece of land we may call home.
The driving Forces
Laura & Erik
The Couple , knowing each other for 20 years now and still going strong together full speed. Feeling things are meant to be and taking life to the fullest, meaning embracing everything, also the hard parts and make it beautifull. Both not afraid to make lifechanging choices and out of the box decisions to fulfill needs and wishes in harmony in the moment. Together they can do everything.
Laura about Erik:
Erik is a handyman with empathic talents, wich is a very nice combination. He is driving the firetruck with caravan while still working parttime in intercom- and security systems online. He is the most caring, organising, stressing, helping, cooking, repairing and joking man of my life. He is a man of few words and silent actions. There is no person I would be traveling more safe with than with him. Together we can do everything, make everything and come up with a solution for everything.
He is the father of our 3! amazing children. He is the partner of my life and I am a lucky woman beside him. He is my rock and teh one always trying to fulfill my wishes and dreams. I consider us a good combination ;)
Erik about Laura:
Laura is a creative mastermind, driving the firecar with trailer, flower- and animallover and a goldsmith that also paints.
She is the heart and soul behind our creative endeavors, bringing a unique blend of pragmatism and spirituality to everything she touches.
Laura approaches life with a grounded perspective, yet maintains a profound connection to her spiritual beliefs. This beautiful duality is evident in each of her creations: jewelry that not only captures the eye but touches the soul of the woman wearing it. Her pieces are designed to inspire confidence and positive energy in those who wear them.

Liva
Liva is a girl with many talents and traits which she is always discovering new ones about herself. She can be laughing about herself what she discovers and how she behaves.
She is creative and inventive, always coming up with new things.
She can also giggle very well.
She does acrodance and likes to perform in the theater.
She has one big dream and that takes her on a voyage on the boat of Laura Dekker to sail with her for 3 months. You can read more about this here: Liva's adventures
Evin
Evin loves nature and DIY projects. He is inspired by everything that moves. This movement is one of his charactertistics because he can't sit still and he is upside down a lot, discovering his body in all directions. Either you find him outside barefoot discovering the little animals around trying to catch reptiles and take pictures when holding them. If not outside you find him being creative. He has a talent in drawing and likes to make things out of wood.
He loves to jump the trampoline.
Leni
Little Leni becomes less and less little and doesn't speak little at all. She has the funniest smile and has never lived in a house until now. She is here for fun and has a laugh that makes you laugh. She is very stable and can jump and run realy hard. She is very creative as well and has a weakness for chickens and ducks. When she discoverd that we would sell our house to go fulltime traveling she thouhgt: "I want to come along", and booked a ticket to earth right away making her mom packing a house with a big belly.
